Back in North Carolina

It's good to back in good ol' NC! Though we are sad that Robbie is busy back in school, Bree and I have been able to spend a lot of quality bonding time :) We have been doing A LOT of dancing :) Bree loves turning, sliding, skipping, jumping...but her most recent love is falling! Yes, falling. She'll fall, then want "mommy fall?" or "daddy fall?".It works out nice when I'm not feeling very well cause she'll just jump off of me while I'm laying down :) It's fun to see what entertains her. But though she loves dancing we're glad to see she also LOVES kicking the soccer ball! She has also been singing along lately. Her newest song we call the "Applesauce Song".She made it up herself :) Bree also has found a new love for stuffed animals! Not just any stuffed animals, but a new
"moose" from Oma Phyllis and Opa Rollie. (Ok, so after I told her it was a moose I realized it is actually a reindeer...but she was doing the cutest moose noise so I decided to let it be a moose :) This is the first stuffed animal she has liked, and now she takes it with her often!
It has been raining a ton since we've been back...and here it doesn't just rain, it down pours like you've never seen! But that hasn't kept us in the house!
Also since we've been back I have been trying to trade babysitting with moms who have young children so that Bree will get used to having a baby around. It's been so fun because Bree is SO SWEET with every baby we have had here! She loves to feed them cheerios, crawl around on the ground, and loves to make the same noises. It's made me a little less nervous about having number two! Except for that she tries to pick them up...

Hey Jesika...I stumbled across your blog when reading Ron & Jill family blogs. Your daughter is so cute...and blonde! Congrats on the new baby and hope all goes well with that...Bree will be a good 2nd mother! It sounds like you are having great one-on-one time...I miss that with Craig, but Gary is a sweetheart! Take care!

Our girls seem to be in pretty much the same phase - singing, dancing, etc... Eva loves singing Happy Birthday and eey eye oh :)

I love hearing about your life!

Bree is no baby anymore! She's such a little girl! Guess that will make room for your little baby boy...congrats! Sounds like you will get lots of help from her.

I can't believe how old Bree looks in that second picture! I loved the applesauce song, what a cutie! Marin too makes up songs, but they're not quite as cute since she belts them out at the top of her lungs (it sounds like yelling). The other day I was talking to my friend on the phone and she thought I was just ignoring Marin while she screamed until I explained that she was just "singing"! Bree will be a great big sister!

You have such a sweet little girl. I hope that you are feeling better soon - being sick is no fun. But congratulations on number 2. I'm sure that you guys are the best parents ever!

So I was looking at some of those pictures of Bree, and it was almost like looking at old pictures of you Jes! She looks more and more like you every day (which means she's going to be gorgeous when she grows up :-) Miss you guys a lot. Keep in touch!

Jesika, I loved hearing Bree say "Apple Sauce" and then giggle! That talking stage is precious because they are truly communicating on "our" level.
